Dragonfly gets into character to launch Barnsley Pantomine!

Dragonfly PR worked with Barnsley Premier Leisure and the Barnsley Lamproom Theatre to launch this year’s pantomime Jack and The Beanstalk, resulting in lots of media coverage for the show on TV, radio and press.

Cast members local comedy legend and ‘Hi De Hi’ star Paul Shane and ‘Coronation Street’s’ Lucy Evans really got into character at the press launch, wowing the journalists, photographers and film crews, including ITV’s Calendar, with their costumes!

Barnsley Premier Leisure marketing manager Aaron Kirkwood said: “Last year was the first time we had run panto at the Metrodome and it went down a storm! There was a fantastic turn out at the press launch so we are expecting a huge response from the people of South Yorkshire once all the articles have been published and radio and TV interviews aired!”

The press launch was a fantastic opportunity to promote the Pantomine, with journalists and photographers allocated slots throughout the day to interview, film and photograph the cast members and show’s producers. Paul Shane definitely stole the show with his wicked sense of humour – still as sharp as ever after all these years!”
