John Brash Serves Up JB Antislip Plus® Decking For Rick Stein

When our client, John Brash & Co, the UKs leading timber importer and specialist manufacturer, told us they had been chosen to supply their award winning decking to Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, Cornwall, it was a PR dream.

After researching and writing an extensive news release, we helped organise a photo of the great man himself on his restaurant’s new decking…and we had to sample some of his wonderful fish & chips while we were there too – all part of the job!

TV chef, Rick Stein plumbed for John Brash JB Antislip Plus® inserts in the refurbishment of one of his most famous seaside restaurants. Opened in 1975, the Seafood Restaurant at Padstow, Cornwall was recently earmarked for a full refurbishment and specialist timber importer John Brash was chosen for the project.

An integral part of the restaurant, the rooftop terrace is frequently used by customers for special parties such as weddings and birthdays and those simply wanting to enjoy the view and fresh sea air. Due to its seafront location, the decking was at particular risk of becoming slippy from rain, waves and spray blowing in from the sea. JB Antislip Plus® inserts were a vital part of ensuring that this area remained safe at all times.
