STUDENTS QUIZ DRAGONFLY ABOUT WORKING IN PR

Dragonfly PR account executive, Sarah Baygot, was quizzed by students from Wath Comprehensive School in Rotherham as part of an exciting school challenge for National Enterprise Week recently.

The enterprise challenge, organised by Business & Education South Yorkshire, saw the Year 10 students attempting to guess Sarah’s occupation, in a quiz that replicated the popular comedy game show ‘What’s My Line?’

Students had to ask specific questions about Sarah’s role and work life, to which she could only answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and then the students had to attempt to guess her occupation.

Representatives from The Royal Air Force, Ventura, Brinsworth Training, Doncaster, Rotherham & District Motor Trades, Bramall Construction, HMP Moorland, South Yorkshire Fire Rescue Service and South Yorkshire Police also took part in the event, which was held at the school this week.

When the students guessed correctly, the professionals then talked about their job role and advised the youngsters on the qualifications or work experience they would have to do to follow that career path.

Joyce Tinker, lead liaison manager at Business & Education South Yorkshire said:
“To have professionals from such a variety of occupations visit these students to tell them first hand about their roles is fantastic! And I’m sure that all the students will benefit from this visit and further develop their ambitions for the future.”

National Enterprise Week is a national celebration of enterprise, inspiring young people to turn their ideas into reality. During National Enterprise Week activities and events are arranged across the UK aimed at encouraging young people to have ideas and make them happen.
